As we know, Toronto is relatively new to the world. It is very sightly and welcoming also a lot of things that Toronto has to show and offer the world.

Bill Marshall, who co-founded the Toronto International Film Festival in 1976, passed away earlier this year at the young age of 77. TIFF — known back then as the Festival of Festivals and co-founded by Henk Van der Kolk and Dusty Cohl. Stars and visitors from all around the world come to Toronto to visit and even partake in the festivities during this time of the year. As Toronto and it's following grows annually, so does TIFF.

You are likely to see stars just walking the street - stars like: Julianne Moore, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Alicia Vikander, Rachel McAdams, Halle Berry, Idris Elba, Shia LeBeouf. And tons and tons more.

In 2016, 397 films from 83 countries were screened at 28 screens in downtown Toronto venues, welcoming an estimated 480,000 attendees, over 5,000 of whom were industry professionals. TIFF starts the Thursday night after Labour Day (the first Monday in September in Canada) and lasts for eleven days. Very sighting and exciting festival with many opportunities... Like who knows Steemers, maybe one of us could end up in a movie as the next Mike Myers.
