Why I traveled to Tijuana Mexico in December 2017 (Parte I.A)

The first and only night at the Air BNB in Tijuana was rough. Not enough sleep, poor air quality indoor and especially outdoors.

Lots of ambulance and firetruck sirens sounded throughout the city all night long. Apparently a warehouse had caught fire that night. If it wasn't local trash burns it was definitely the warehouse fire that filled the air with the smell of burning plastic.

Initially I had been under the impression that we were to spend the night across the border in San Diego then shuttle to the Biomedical Center in the early morning. My assumptions were wrong and it caused a minor complication. I brought my Dad's handgun (the one he promised me he'd leave for me) on the trip. Mexican laws prohibit firearms from entering the country via privately owned vehicular transportation vessels or on foot by any citizen of a foreign land such as the U.S. . Mexicans in general are a very disarmed population and thus this environment has created fertile grounds in large swaths of the country for criminals and cartels to take root. In most part with superior weaponry (to any regular Mexican citizen) sometimes acquired by corrupted elements of the Mexican government and other groups that were supplied (with military grade weapons) by the U.S. government (Research "Fast and Furious gun trafficking). So I said fuck it, I'm taking my gun with me and smuggled that bitch into the country. I'm an anarchist and I don't subscribe to any illegitimate so called authority. I'm just kidding, the consequences of getting caught by any paramilitary policia (Federal, State or Municipal)

were too great so I did some research on where I could possibly leave my firearm. As it turns out there are many gun shops in San Diego that will store your firearm in their armory for a very fair price. I chose Discount Gun Mart on Morena Blvd. Very friendly people there. The entire process was very simple and just requires a government issued ID card and an explanation as to why you need to store the firearm. They agreed it was a very good idea to leave any type of weapon outside of Mexico. In actuality I always feel safer in Mexico regardless. Could it be because in the U.S. the entire population is constantly under attack by methods that target us at the neuromolecular level ? What I know for sure is that I'm always at ease in Mexico. The pace of life seems to slow and finding spontaneous bursts of laughter, joy and happiness come about more easily and frequently. Even as a child living in San Felipe Guanajuato I always felt more free and happy in general. This is a picture of my Dad and I in the family organic corn fields. My hair was a light roast back then. Nowadays it's more of a dark roast. IMG_4126.JPG
Even now the feeling is the same. A sense of adventure and freedom accompanies my being in Mexico. More on that on a later post. Towards the end of my Dad's human existence he did a few things that extended his life past the doctors initial predictions. He had read somewhere of the Gerson Method which involved coffee enemas, something I'd discovered consequently in my cancer research. Even before I had discovered the Gerson Therapy my Dad asked me one day to get him a large cup of coffee to perform an enema. At the time I felt it was a very strange thing to do. Nevertheless I too started trying this Gerson method of detoxing the body so as to allow for self healing. I started juicing copious amounts of carrots and performed coffee enemas on myself. By the time I was traveling to Mexico I felt it almost a needless expenditure because I was already feeling much better and felt it wasn't necessary to get a check up at the Biomedical Center. But there was much more to this journey than just the Biomedical Center. I just didn't know it yet.
