The attention economy is becoming more and more prevalent. As we move away from producing our own goods we need to find our necessities out in the market. The way most of us search the market gives precedence to the goods which catch our attention. The merchants who understand why we buy and how to intrigue someone have the most control of the market interactions. Of course consumers have however much control they want because they are able to recognize their own bias and the games of the merchants. The consumer attention economy is a powerful subset of the wider economy in that it influences the smallest interactions throughout the environment.
