The works of visual artist Helmut Smits are simply put amazingly mind blowing in it's
simple, subtle and straightforward approach. The other day I had a talk with Gijs van der Berg, art director at KesselsKramer and we're discussing the topic of how it is a perfect
challenge and daily exercise to see creative opportunities in your everyday life.
Training yourself to get inspired basically. During this talk, Gijs mentioned the work of Helmut Smits and I was immediately hooked!

Potential Collaboration

You know that feeling when you see someone's work and firework explodes in your brain?
An overflow of possibilities, a creative and inspirational explosion takes place and your view on your surroundings has been slightly altered. You just know that you have to get in contact with this person. That's exactly what I have done. By mail.

So Helmut, when you're reading this, perhaps you should consider creating an account om Steemit because all the author rewards are yours!

I'd really like to find a way to incorporate Smits' work in the documentary I'm currently
working on. I'm not sure yet as of how this would take form, but it all depends on Smits'
answer. I can imagine he is extremely busy and caught up in a project. But hé, as we say in The Netherlands; Didn't shoot, always a miss.

When I initially saw the title I thought, "Why would anyone want to do this?" I love your explanation at the beginning. It's the same reason people do puzzles, suduko or crossword puzzles... to exercise your mind. Very cool post!

Yes, exactly! Thank you!

Great post, got the gears turning a bit!
