#tilafrica: Inviting Steemian Content Creators To Go Out Of Their Comfort Zones And Cover "Africa" In Their Weekly Content!

The Birth Of #tilafrica!

We want to do something really interesting that will benefit the entire steemit community. This will take the form of a weekly fun contests that will inspire content creators on steemit to go out of their comfort zones and write something new each week!

If you have been on steemit for a really long time, you would have been familiar with a time when #til was very popular. It was encouraged that steemians posted on new topics daily and #til was fully supported with steempower, so that authors who posted quality #til posts, got great rewards in terms of upvotes, visibility and steem.

Basically, steemit wanted to become the new face of the internet and take that title away from reddit.com. Another purpose of that whole endeavor was to attract reddit-like users onto steemit!

This is possible through researched and fresh #til content, on and on, until steemit becomes an instant GOTO hub for regular Netizens looking for answers. The trend died though!

We want to revive this trend and restore life to #til but with a twist! Basically, it will be #tilafrica

We will do a contest each week, with reminders and results through the week, to inspire authors to do research and create content that is fresh, new, experienced and unique; on events and facts related to Africa.

If you didn't already know #til simply means "TODAY I LEARNED". Thus, #tilafrica means "TODAY I LEARNED (AFRICAN EDITION)".

We want steemians who are non-Africans to be able to learn all about Africa, without being physically present in Africa.

We will be coming out with prizes each week and we will try to be creative with prizes. We want authors to love what they do and want them to be inclined to write about Africa, for reasons that include personal growth, knowledge, power etc

Thus, we will try to vary prizes each week and make the whole process total fun.

Imagine, 10 #tilafrica posts or more, every week covering Africa! For instance, this week the topic to cover can be "How To Live On 50 Dollars A Day In Africa!"; then the following week can be: "Successful African Craftsmen" and so on and so forth!

Steemit posts will certainly be ranking in the search engines for these search phrases above and that is organic marketing for steemit.com.

Each contest post will contain a guide on how to create the required content and a list of facts to source for, while you creating the #tilafrica content for the week; then the reminder post later in the week before the 7 day period ends, will feature existing entries and will remind and encourage new entries.

We will also have a post to mention winners and discuss improvements and possibly take suggestions for the #tilafrica topic or theme, for the following week.

We want to build engagement and ultimately, more beauty and fun and ofcourse, accomplish organic steemit growth even as we empower ourselves with knowledge!

To we want to highlight more of Africa and dispel any misinformation about the beautiful continent, using real facts!

Please leave your thoughts as to whether this is an endeavor that will interest you!
