I heard about this from news report, I think. It was Jotted down in my steemit note-pad some time yesterday. I had just quickly scribbled the name and gave it no more though until today.

I don't want to just dump a video on steemit. I like to feel that I have made every post my-own, in one way or another. So I thought I would do a little research and give you a quick over-view of who is behind this cheeky filming and how it's done.

Just to appease the impatient and those with a limited capacity for reading, I will post the video now, rather than at the end of the post. (more links at the bottom of page)

Lets meet the people and the company behind that wonderful film.

Little Big World (LBW) used a technique called 'tilt-shift' photography to produce this fantastically amusing footage. A company named spoonfilms.com seems to be behind this group, who trot around the globe to various locations and turn the landscape into miniature form. The resulting films are mind-bending as you fight to convince your brain that what you are watching, is real life!

The German company known as spoonfilms has their own website that has links to tons of LBW videos!
Here's a few facts about the company itself.

  1. spoonfilms Media production Gmbh, was founded in 2000, by 3 individuals, Alexanded Pfeuffer, Heiko Kalnbach and Joerg Daiber. Under this name, they went on to produce their work, internationally. While they were doing this, they were also snatching up awards, wherever they went.

  2. By 2003 the company had established itself and they named Joerg Daiber as their first CEO.

  3. Working for companies, such as Bayerischer Rundfunk, WDR and Discovery Channel, but also for companies like Siemens, The British Phonograpic Industry and Red Bull.

  4. This team, made up of feelancers and enployees, have developed a variety of high-quality productions. These range from Image films all the way to documentaries and even, I quote, "cutting edge TV series".

  5. spoonfilms owns its own production equiptment and also has 2 HD editing suites.

So what is Tilt-shift and is it something I can do?

Not being a photographer myself, I will not attempt to regurgitate this advice. Here is youtuber Matt Granger page.
