The magic of doing what you want to do

We know that our time is limited in life, and we use to hear a lot of advice about enjoying the present time, just living entirely in the present moment and having fun about things that we love. However, nowadays with the huge influence of social media, everything that doesn't look like you are building your future is just a waste of time. Rather than a waste of time, a not well invested time because of what you could do with that time. I say this because I had and sometimes still feel that time is not as well used as it could.image.pngWhen I tended to see all this awesome people creating awesome things I thought to my inner self: "I am not good enough". Actually, this was not the case, but indeed, I was not a well organized person. So one day I just decided to do the following:

Get a notebook and a pen, and just write down all the things I would like to do in the day. Just for trying. That way I would now what I really want and stop complaining about not being the so called "successful". At first, it was a disaster... I just wrote down 5 to-do tasks and only completed one or two. I was lazy as hell and I didn't realize until I started managing my own actions. But I commit myself into it, just to prove that I can do what I should and specially what I want no matter the day, weather or circumstances. So I keep trying over and over again, and 11 months later (January 20th 2022), I can come with three big conclusions:

  1. You can do much more than what at first you think. We are way stronger and more capable of things.
  2. We are gonna keep failing at certain tasks. I still fail to do all my tasks certain days, but now instead of writing 5 I write 11 or 12 per day, and without completing usually 1, 2 or at most three.
  3. Organizing yourself for the day can make you much productive, creative, smarter, wiser and stronger person.

I was never the smartest person in the room, nor I will hope that I'll never be to keep learning from others. However, now I meditate, read, exercise, eat healthier food (sometimes😜) , write and I know more about myself that what I used to know before.

If someone seems like maybe lost or without a clear path in life as I was (and still I am), and wants to feel better with its own self, I highly recommend you to just try to do what you really want to do to feel better. Don't worry about mistakes, you will live your entire life committing them, but remain focused that what really matters is to enjoy the ride, while knowing more about you, loving you more, and living the present time.
