WE DO NOT WAGE WAR AS THE WORLD DOES

  1. “For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], WE ARE NOT CARRYING ON OUR [spiritual] WARFARE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH AND USING THE WEAPONS OF MAN.
  2. The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.”
    2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (Amp.)

• Christians needed to understand the truth of the Bible.

  • Fighting for yourself, with the arm of flesh, when you have challenges, cannot proffer solutions to your predicament—it will rather complicate it.
  • Besides, human beings are not your enemies. IF anyone rises against you, the person is not the one but the devil—he works through human beings to fight and resist believers (Exodus 1:7-11).
  • Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, that is, not against human beings, but against powers of darkness.

"FOR WE DO NOT WRESTLE AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV)

  • Deal with the power of darkness that might be instigating the person against you—when you do that, the person will come to his or her senses.

"For through we walk in the flesh, WE DO NOT WAR ACCORDING TO THE FLESH."
2 Corinthians 10:3 (NKJV)

• If you are taught to fight your battles with the arm of flesh; know that what you are taught is not consistent with the Word of God.

  1. "Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him.
  2. "WITH HIM IS AN ARM OF FLESH; BUT WITH US IS THE LORD OUR GOD, TO HELP US AND TO FIGHT OUR BATTLES. And the people were strengthen ed by the the words of Hezekiah the king of Judah."
    2 Chronicles 32:7,8 (NKJV)

• Prayer and the Word

  • Prayer and the Word of God are the weapons given to believers in Christ Jesus by God (2 Corinthians 10:4).
  • Any battle you fight without God, not using God's pattern, may be disastrous and calamitous.

• Learn to rely on Him, wait on Him; no matter how painful the experience—in whatever you are passing through.
• Somebody said One needs to be violent.

  • Being Violent should be in prayer, not in fist fight.
MAY the lord give you understanding.

• Take note: Do Christians need to fight for themselves? No!

  • Whatever may be done against you as a believer, you should not fight back, you should allow God to fight for you.
    VENGEANCE belongs to God:
  1. "BELOVED, NEVER AVENGE YOURSELVES, BUT LEAVE THE WAY OPEN FOR GOD'S WRATH [and His judicial righteousness]; FOR IT IS WRITTEN [in Scripture], "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord.
  2. "IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM; IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR BY DOING THIS YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD."
  3. Do not be overcome and conquered by evil, BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD."
    Romans 12:18-21 (Amp.)

• Believers are given the right and authority to deal with demons, but in dealing with human beings, that should be given to God—vengeance belongs to HIM (Matthew 18:18; Luke 10:19; 1 Peter 5:8).

"Listen carefully: I HAVE GIVEN YOU AUTHORITY [that you now possess] TO TREAD ON SERPENTS AND SCORPIONS, AND [the ability to exercise authority] OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you."
Luke 10:19 (Amp.)

  • Having said that, a believer should not be vengeful, you should have a heart to forgive.
  • You should avoid pettiness, you should not be small minded by being concerned with unimportant things—learn to overlook things and forgive (Proverbs 10:12).

"HE WHO COVERS A TRANSGRESSION SEEKS LOVE, but he who repeats a matter separates friends."
Proverbs 17:9 (NKJV)

  • The teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ says:
  1. "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'
  2. "BUT I TELL YOU NOT TO RESIST AN EVIL PERSON. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
  3. "If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.
  4. "And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
  5. "Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away."
    Matthew 5:38-42 (NKJV)
  • You will do well to obey the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ.
IF you did obey His teaching, you are not being stupid, you are only giving a chance, an opportunity, to Him to defend you and fight for you.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
