AM had all those numbers first. What was wrong with 13, and 14, and so on? It used to be be fine. It’s good enough for Europe.

I think it’s just fear mongering about unlucky “13” being used to allow big PM to completely encroach on AM’s rightful territory.

PM is colonial usurpation of the original occupants of the clock. Not only is it appropriation, it’s actual stealing of the same real estate on the clock and the very name of the hours themselves. Three used to mean something. It was when truckers ate lunch. When drunken club folks hit the streets. When lonely students suffered to get their paper done.
Now? Now it’s also that meeting with Bob in accounting and that time that Oprah is on. And when God forbid the early bird special starts.
If big PM weren’t so scary, it would be a total embarrassment.
I don’t know what they’re teaching kids in school. Probably some Florida school with its gerrymandered curriculum because East Coast is hogging all the PM before West Coast is even into its first cup of coffee. But when I was a kid we learned that AM comes first. PM is just a sad sack copy.
