You raise a valid point, Yes there are some mysteries regarding how Time actually functions, for starters we don't even know the properties or charateristics that time is made. For example water is made of molecules which is atoms bonded together. Yet nothing is known of what is time actually made of. Perhaps it is just an illusion. without us being alive to experience time. what is time actually? it is just present constant present. who knows if time is going backwards or fowards. there remains the saying "Be in the NOW"
