Time Travel 101 - Letter To The 80 Year Old Me

Dear 80 year old me,

As I sit here at my writing desk, I envision that your hands are decorated with well- deserved age spots and wrinkles earned from writing and typing and gardening and dog walking for the past 25 years, and although a bit arthritic they can still push you up from the recliner to get ready to walk to the coffee shop to do your favorite activity - people watching! I hope you finally gave up the battle and broke down and got prescription lenses instead of those Costco reading glasses you were wearing. I hope your observation skills and memory are still sharp for your age.

I hope that you were able to spend a lot of time with your three sons who you love to eternity and back, and to have always had the opportunity to be in the company of children and animals to keep you young and playful in spirit if not in years.

I imagine your quest for life-long learning spurred you on to cross off all those books you wanted to read on your bucket list, and that you helped as many people as you could with the knowledge you acquired, and ultimately, felt that you had done your best to become self-actualized as a person, and that you knew true love and great friendship before going to be re-united with your Mom, Dad and Brother in heaven.
