Time Usage

An old nursery school rhyme says “tick says the clock, tick, tick; what have you have to do, do it quickly.” The book of God also explains that to everything and every purpose under the heaven, time is allocated. To further confirm the importance of time, the whole creation of God was done orderly within the planned time frame. All these point to the fact that time is very essential and should not be trivialized. A wasted time is a wasted destiny!

It is simply amazing how many people waste the divine resources called time. Regardless of the geographical location, everyone has 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week, 60 in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour. Yet, many people still don’t understand the concept of time. That is why the do unprofitable and unimportant things.
Between conception and birth is a process of time; everyman and invention is also a product of time. What do you do with your time? How do you manage your days, weeks, and month in a given year? Interestingly you hear someone who has never done something tangible with his/her time still saying I gat no time. Friend, time is an asset which must be invested. The return you get is a function of how judicious you are in its investment.

Remember that God is a capitalist who works on the principles of resource allocation. He has invested in so many resources to make you and endowed you with time to trade with all the gifts he has bestowed on you. Which report will you give him when you meet face-face with him on the day of accountability? Whatever you do per time must be with a particular good purpose.

Some people waste their time by not actually praying in church but they will rather play. Can you imagine someone busy chatting, dozing, being distracted and gisting during prayer, worship and sermon. May God save us? We need to make absolute use of our time because every minutes, seconds and hours is useful.
