as a rant, instead let's view this as an education tool:
You're cute with your freshly done hair. Those nails you're wearing are pretty and sparkly. Boyfriend's watch is huge and expensive looking. Together, y'all are just too cute.
However, it is Not cute to abuse your server. It is not cute to run them 34 times back and forth for things (while being asked if there was anything else they could get you, of course the answer being "no" then). It is not cute to run up a super high tab, and come out of your designer jeans pocket with a couple singles, press them in the server's hand, like you did them a favor.
I try and show all my people who may not have known how to tip, that
servers deserve to be aptly compensated. But some people are still clueless. Scratch that, some people just don't give a shit.
To all that find enjoyment in behaving like I described above, please understand that pb&j is delicious, and you can stay home next time and be cute there.
