Yes, yes I know that's not how you spell fortune but I thought it was smart.
Today I have four simple things that you can do to help save a bit extra and manage your finance before they manage you.
Budget
Everyone hates this word but in all honesty it's a simple effective way to see where your financial status is and if you are living within your means.
Save
Saving can always seem like a daunting task and many oppose this form of discipline. However I found that a small monthly or weekly amount adds up. We put away $50 every two weeks and then make do with what we have left. That little bit extra has helped in many cases.
Cook
This may seem odd but cooking your own meals and packing your own lunch for work can save you quite a lot of money. Even with a nice snack it still works out cheaper than "take out" and going for lunch.
Shopping list
Make a shopping list and stick to it, this means you will not buy unneeded items and less junk food. You must however remember to buy a treat for yourself as you work hard for what you get. Most importantly don't shop hungry, as colours and smells will make you buy junk even though you don't need it or really want it.
Hope these simple tips can help put you on a fortune saving year...
Budgets are the way to go. They can be super helpful.
