Things You Shouldn't Do In Steemit.

Being aware of the fact that you can earn some money from the Steemit community. Many new steemians as ignorantly engage in self destroying acts and end up ruining their chances of ever making it in the community.

When they see that they aren't getting what they expected from the system as a result of their selfish mistakes they end up quiting the community.

  • Do not steal articles from other sites.

This is in fact the biggest mistake a blogger can ever make in his/her blogging career. And it is common among newbies in the community. They know they could get paid for contents but they are just too lazy to create theirs, they prefer to lift contents from other sites and paste.
Note: the Steemit bot (cheetah) is so smart to realize this and once you're caught you'll be down voted with a great steem power and others would do same.

Instead of copying someone else's work. Why not do a thorough research and compile ideas from different sources (websites, videos, PDFs etc.). By doing this you're not only giving your audience informative contents but you're also learning.
And in the future you can present yourself as expert in your niche.

  • Do not beg for votes

I know for a fact that vote Begging is very common among new steemians. I also know that votes are needed to make money in Steemit. But instead of Begging for votes why not work harder and create good contents that attracts votes naturally.

Note: don't get me wrong and just create and dump contents in the community you'll not be noticed. I'm not against promoting your contents but I'm strongly against laying promises like "hello upvote my post and I'll upvote yours in return". Such statements attracts spammy comments like "hey guy I've just upvoted and followed you. Hurry and do same or......".

Trust me this does not only annoy you but makes you look unprofessional to new visitors who enjoyed your post and would have upvoted, followed and left a constructive and thoughtful comment.

Instead of vote Begging try creating good contents with catchy topics. By so doing you'll attract more views and upvotes

  • Follow me, follow you.

This is similar to vote Begging but in this case you're asking for follows not votes. You may

have come across comments like "I just upvoted and followed you upvote and follow me back". This can be annoying for researchers looking for thoughtful comments.

Instead of promising votes and comments. Why not try leaving constructive comments in posts you find interesting, as this will urge people to click on your profile and follow you naturally.

importance article bro. every new steemit user must be read this article.

There's nothing more I dislike than people that take advantage of the system for their own gain and not putting in any contributions.

Thanks for taking the time to make this to let the new viewers know what NOT to do.
