Do you play golf? If so, then you know what a frustratingly difficult game to master it is, yet also how enchantingly addictive golf can be.
To somebody who has never played golf it can be hard to understand what the fascination is, and indeed it is difficult to properly explain by those of us who love the game.
The problem with trying to get better at golf is that it is completely counter intuitive. That is to say, anything that feels right, probably isn't.
Add to that the fact there is no comparable movement in life that you can mimic. If you play football, basketball, or any other sport that uses predominantly hands or feet. You can map motions that are instinctive onto these sports.
For example kicking is a natural movement, an exaggeration of walking or running, two other natural motions. The same can be said for throwing and catching, thus these bio mechanical functions can be easily mapped onto a sport.
However with golf, unless you are continually helping to toss a friend into a swimming pool, then there really is no action that can compare to the golf swing.

In my quest to become a great golfer I have done what millions of before me have done and searched golf videos on Youtube.
For a while I listened to the advice of various people on Youtube who were clearly better than me at golf. In the end I gave up though, because I found that their advice just messed up my game.
The other day though I discovered Danny Maude, and let me tell you it was quite an emotional moment. After just one video I was hitting my driver (the longest and hardest club to hit) over 200 yards. Whereas before I could barely manage 50 on a good day!
I still can't believe how watching a series of videos has improved my golf. I'm striking the ball better and it is going higher and further than ever before.
If you aren't into golf then all of this is kind of so what? However if you are into the noble art of golf, then you will appreciate just how happy I am, and you will get yourself down to Danny Maude's Youtube channel and start improving today!
