Every day provides us with an opportunity to celebrate life. This evening I had lots of fun celebrating National Power Rangers Day with my son, DJ. Power Rangers were one of his favorite shows when he was a kid. He loved to watch Power Rangers tapes on the VCR when the show wasn’t on TV. Tonight, we watched a couple episodes of Power Rangers on Netflix together.

I’m not I’m not sure how or why this evening ended with your accordion being played, but it did. This is the power of celebrating life; fun and happiness just seemed to flow. I hope everyone finds time to enjoy and celebrate life with family and friends.

NEW MEMORIES

Life just keeps getting stranger,
tonight DJ and I watched the Power Rangers.

This show brought DJ joy,
when he was a boy.

Now is a man,
he thinks it’s grand.

He realized the shows puns,
were still silly and fun.

So, thank you Netflix,
for making us transfixed,

with the strange urge,
to sing “Go, Go Power Rangers!”

I really can’t complain,
a fun trip down memory lane.

New memories were made,
and the accordion got played.

didn't know there's a power ranger day. I was a big fan back in the day too, good times, good times.

It is the first year it is being celebrated, in honor of the Power Rangers 25th anniversary.

I used to watch this on tv when I was young. I guess most adults must have seen or watched this show at least once or twice : )

I only watched it because it was my son's favorite. I use to get up very early on black Friday to be one of the first in line, to make sure he got the newest Power Ranger toy for Christmas.

Actually, living here in the province (that would be like the countryside for you) when we were young there was only one tv station, Channel 13. We had no choice. We just watched the shows that the station aired. I remember Power Rangers was during prime time hours so I guess everyone who had a tv and was watching during those hours in our part of the country got to see the show. Sort of a monopoly. It was only when I was in high school that another tv station began operating in our area. Those were the days.

Yes, those were the days before cable. Here before cable tv and the internet we had a limited number of channels and some went off the air late at night.

Hey now that's nice to know you went through this too and can relate with me : ) Actually Channel 13 before signed off at midnight so no more tv after that unless you want to watch a snowy screen lol.

Lol, I guess that shows our age!
