Nationwide Rain with a Chance of Yellow Dust Today

Rain: Expect rain across most of South Korea today, starting in the western regions this afternoon and continuing overnight. The central region, Honam, and Jeju Island will see rain in the afternoon, spreading nationwide by evening.

Rainfall: It will be a good spring rain, with some areas experiencing heavy rain (10-20 mm per hour) tonight and early morning tomorrow, particularly in the central region. Winds and lightning are also possible in some areas during this downpour. Most of the rain will stop by early tomorrow morning. Total rainfall will reach up to 40 mm in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, and northern Chungcheongbuk-do, while other areas will see 5-20 mm.

Yellow Dust: There is a possibility of yellow dust mixing with the rain, so be cautious.

Temperature: Despite the rain, today will be mild. Seoul will reach a high of 16°C (61°F), while Daejeon and Gwangju will see highs of 18°C (64°F).

Weekend Outlook: The central region will see clear skies starting tomorrow afternoon, but rain is expected to continue throughout the weekend, especially in Jeju Island and the southern coast.

Next Week: More rain or snow is expected across the country next week, between Monday and Tuesday. However, temperatures will rise, bringing mild weather for the weekend and beyond. Seoul's high temperature will climb to 17°C (63°F) tomorrow and 21°C (70°F) on Sunday.
