Here's my entry to the contest hosted by @danielfs. I was thinking about creating my own coin or SMT before and this contest gave me the opportunity to try. This is one of the contests I was searching for thanks to Danielfs for coming up with this idea.
If you noticed my display photo on my account, it is a bird. I call him Kapitan Malitub. I designed and envisioned him to embody my plan of starting a community focused on my town and it's culture. The idea of a coin or token is necessary should I reward someone in that community. So, the representation of a local bird easily jived with the idea of a grain as a reward or maybe a currency/SMT.
Process:
Deciding on the color and shape
I want a golden color or paler. The shape I chose is circular like a typical coin.
Creating the main representation of my coin. Butil means a grain. I want to show all the facets of this grain just like the facets of a diamond
Choosing the font and stylizing the written name of the coin. Butil became BU+1L. The letter T was replaced by a plus sign (+) and the letter I was represented by the number one (1).
