Ok, I am excited about this stuff more than the average guy, and even though I barely understand it better than the average guy, if I were able I would attend.
BUT, I am not sure which I want more, for the level of geekery to be so high that the marching band is considered cool, or for most attendees to realize it is super geeky gay. I think I want the first one because it would be quite a bit more funny.

We were all scratching our heads at the marching band. But I'm a fan. Mariachi probably would have been better. In fact, I have a feeling they were a mariachi act dressed as a marching band because they had none of the posture or discipline of a "real" marching band.
