What's up for general fan? Here's my full book review of the TB Twelve Method by Tom Brady. I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. I mean, I've been into working out and going to the gym and training and our corn for you running in basic fitness in general. All of my life. And I'm not going to lie. I'm going to be honest right off the bat. When I heard about this book, I was like, you know, it is probably another, you know, celebrity slash athlete who has a large following that just tries to leverage your following by writing a book. And it's all the same cookie-cutter workouts, the same cookie-cutter exercise, and everything.
However, this book was very different than that which I was shocked by, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, in this book, the main focus of it he talks was a man called Pliability, which is a part of his definition, but said he defines kind of giving a general definition. He defines pliability training as targeted deep force muscle work that lengthens and softens muscles. At the same time, those muscles are rhythmically contracted and relaxed. And the whole idea behind this book is your talks about, look, working out and going to the gym, critical times like strength training and weightlifting, doing cardio, very important as well. However, a lot of athletes don't focus on injury prevention. And I know it's especially at his age. I think he's, what, like forty-three? Now is the time. This video he's playing with people half his age, and he is still killing it right now. Look, regardless of what you want to say about the Patriots and everything like that.
I know after there's a lot of controversies and I feel like 90 percent of the people 99 percent the people in the country hate the Patriots. But there's no denying that Tom Brady is an incredible athlete. And he says that his success in football and its success, especially, I think, in terms of not getting injured, how we can take hits even at the age of these that he's at. Has it been a result of pliability training with his trainer? So in this book, the beginning kind of talks about, you know, different belief systems. I was saying, look, you know, because especially back in the day, his training was heavily kind of judged upon. All of you were like, wait; he's doing this pliability thing like that, stupid. Like, he was very, very heavily, you know, kind of disregard. He's like all that's some weird Tom Brady thing that he's doing. It's not going to work. Several signs and said, look what I started doing.
Pliability kind of went against the status quo, and I'm glad I did it because, over time it's shown to be extremely beneficial. Nadji, for myself or for other people to conduct without in the beginning, you know, like I said, giving belief systems like, look, you know, here's some principles as well. And then as he goes into BGA, deeper dives with any talks with like even some psychology, some neurology, you know, a further kind of explanation of what is Pliability. And then as he goes on, again, there's a lot of speeches like explaining everything. Then he goes into obviously kind of the meat of the book, which is the actual exercise. Here are the main pliability exercises. You can do with basic like, you know, just a regular ball. As you can see, Orbis, your foam roller, or whatever is best for you. All of these are exercises right through the pliability training. And then he moves to the workouts then. And honestly, the workouts he mini focuses on using a resistance span.
I guess that's another whole aspect of the TV twelve method. What you get to a little bit later, that's a whole kind of principle behind hence the name of the book the TB Twelve TB 12B Twelve Method Low Cottonmouth right now. There are also so many different workouts, as you can see, and GBC then goes on to talk about how to live it, then hydration. Also, it's something I need right now, you know it. And the sake of the TV twelve method especially cause I'm super dehydrated. It's pretty hot here in LA, I mean, hey, it's a summer Annam in the valley. So it's always even more it's it looks significantly hotter here in the valley. Give it to the rest of our life anyway. So these talks for hydration CUMA important. Then he goes into nutrition is also what you should eat. Devant has the food and whatnot. And then lastly, it talks about brain training, rest, and recovery.
So you bowl on everything you do know about fitness and nutrition, right? Workouts, the philosophies, principles, and then also things with nutrition terms like lifestyle as well, you know how you sleep and all these other things that come into affecting how you can perform. Narcy on all my reviews, whether it's a book or anything else, I'm always very transparent about the pros and cons, and I think there's a tremendous amount of pros. As I said, I think there were a lot of things about this book that blew me away that I did not expect. As I said, I went into a thing and, you know, probably another athlete sponsored thing with the same exercise that you can get in any single fitness book. But there's a lot of information in here that I thoroughly enjoyed. On the flip side, I will say the only carnie will say, which is kind of once you get over two, you're just like whatever. The only guy will say is also the TV. Twelve methods is almost like its brand. I mean, in this he talks about also the. Twelve studios, I think it's in like Foxboro, Massachusetts. There's actually like a center you can go in and train out.
But also, there are hints, at least if I can find it. He has like his own, for example, TV twelve protein. He has as wall his electrolytes, things, and hydration somewhere in the confined somewhere, you know. So basically, he has all these even products all under the Tom Brady name. And I feel like that in a decent amount of this book seems like a shallow key marketing sales approach. Right. Which I want. And I get like like if you want to sell your products and you ever book that kind of supports from you. Here it is. See, that's the electrolytes. You know, the typical thing that you see probably seen before the other products where you have water, you kind of squirt some of this liquid into the water and mix it up. And then, there you go. And so I feel like that a lot of this book, a decent amount of a conceived reinforces the idea like, there's a lot of good proteins out there. But the TB twelve protein is the best one. Or there's a lot of electrolyte supplements out there. But we need to get this one. You know, you could do PIB pliability training on your own. Still, you got to go to the TB Twelve studio and Mastrogiacomo maybe in Foxboro or Devon location, but somewhere in Massachusetts. But I will say as I said, I get it. I mean, hey, like if you wrote a book or, you know, worked with somebody to create this book and it's a bunch of great exercises, why not sell your products? So so that's the only content. There's a lot of periods where he says, you know, OK, everything else isn't bad. It's working for you. But unless you get my own, which is the purest greatest bubble, bubble, blah, it's not going to be as effective. Right. He does have short sales. He kind of lends on a lot of what he says.
But besides that, I think this incredible information in this book magazine, I'm beginning this veto. There are no surprises. An incredible athlete. And it does say, look, the main reason for my success is truly pliability training. And it's something that a lot of people need to do. Even if you're not trying to be like a world-class athlete and even if you don't even go to the gym that much, still, pliability training can be super effective in your life, which I think for everybody, because I'll see we all get older. It's all super important. All of us need to be some kind of conscious of injury prevention and how our bodies adapt as we get older. This book is something you got to pick up.
