first off it looks familiar, so I kick myself for not being able to nail it down completely. could it be a piece of the inner assembly of the rear brakes on a ford mustang! I say that because it is soo familiar and my experience is mostly based on restoring a 1967 mustang coupe.

    You would be way closer to confirming that than me, @duncan40! It could definitely be that. So funny how something can be so familiar, and still we are not clear. Thanks for giving me your opinion. Maybe someone else will have a little more input here.
