Pulling into this disinfranchised town, I immediatley noticed many piles of used tires around me which would shelter and keep me out of view for a night's rest - Bicycle Tour Vlog #9 of 12

I needed rest from cycling through the long desert - this little Ghost town looked like as good of a place as any to hideaway for a night...

What's the strangest, most surreal or hardest-to-explain experience you've had camping rough in the desert? This looks like a true adventure - good luck.

I upvoted, resteemed and followed you.

Thank you. I went over and read some of your blog, upvoted a few. Yea I would say that was a pretty weird place and weird feeling in that town with the tires.

Something I remember as well that was weird to me, well it was not a good part of the trip let's just say:

I had looked forward to checking out white sands New Mexico. When I arrived there, there were many people in line, in their cars, waiting to pay $5.00 at a booth just to go up to a higher elevation just to see the White Sands desert. They had it all fenced off so you couldn't see the place from just a slightly lower elevation, you had to get up higher.

That really got my blood going to see that happening in the ' land of the free. ' I was too angry to sit in line on my bicycle with those people, so I got some water and headed back down the road.

That does sound frustrating. I guess I was wondering if you've ever had any "unexplainable" encounters - like something from a Carlos Castaneda book.
Have you ever seen anything out there that you would call paranormal?
