Vivo en la costa de Venezuela, en un lugar donde el Mar ha enseñado a sus amantes diferentes formas de respetarlo, de venerarlo, de entenderlo ya que el Mar bajo la religión e ideal que sea representa un poder y dicen que ancestral.

En este país se practican una gran cantidad de religiones distintas y todas tienen un estima especial por el elemento agua, por el mar, por los ríos incluso por la lluvia, bien sea ancestral o no aquí algunos dicen que existe un poder, una energía que protege al mar y todo lo que en él está siempre y cuando se encomiende o crea en él. Particularmente las religiones cristianas, Yoruba entre otras rinden ceremonias para una mujer, Diosa de los Mares, Protectora de los Pescadores, quien es fuerza, serenidad y un gran cúmulo de increíbles cosas a las cuales la gente le tienen Fe.

In this country a lot of different religions are practiced and all have a special esteem for the water element, for the sea, for the rivers even for the rain, whether ancestral or not here some say that there is a power, an energy that protects the sea and everything in it as long as it is entrusted or created in it. Particularly the Christian religions, Yoruba among others perform ceremonies for a woman, Goddess of the Seas, Protector of the Fishermen, who is strength, serenity and a great accumulation of incredible things to which people have Faith.

Los nombres más conocidos para ella son Yemaya y la Virgen del Valle en sus ceremonias las que coinciden en fecha se le celebra de formas en las que hoy en día son parte de nuestro Patrimonio Cultural. Sus fiestas se caracterizan por su música, en el caso de mi localidad la música es el Galeron y el Joropo Oriental y Tambores en las que se les cantan décimas, los pescadores la pasean por los mares y todos de la creencia que sea en la costa la venera de una u otra forma.
