The TRD Pro off-road package from Toyota Racing Development first appeared in 2014. And since then the optional kit has been evolving along with the models on which it is installed - these are Tacoma and Tundra pickups, as well as Sequoia and 4Runner SUVs. This time the hero of the news occasion is the 4Runner, which got the updated TRD Pro kit in full scale. The entire line of TRD Pro 2021 model year was given a new cool color Lunar Rock instead of Army Green, which was removed from the range. But only the 4Runner got alloy wheels.

The 4Runner TRD Pro also has an upgraded suspension with Fox 2.5 Internal Bypass Shocks (rear with outboard reservoirs). After the revisions, the SUV should be able to ride better on serious off-road terrain without sacrificing comfort and handling. The updated TRD Pro package can be ordered this fall. At the same time, sales of Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner models will start in a special Trail version for fans of camping, hunting and fishing. Their debut took place last February. Then Toyota announced that only 7,000 Tacoma pickups, 5,000 Tundras, and 4,000 4Runners will be made.
