I had a flight from Istanbul to Mardin this morning. Went to Diyarbakir, then Hasankeyf. After then, Midyat, where I am writing this post at the moment.

This photo is taken on Hasankeyf, which is an ancient town on the Tigris River in Turkey. A new dam project threatens this beautiful town.

It may wipe out this living history. It's unbelievable that the Turkish government actually is planning to do that.

Bu sabah uçakla Mardin'e indik, araba kiralayıp Diyarbakır'a geldik, Midyat yolu üzerinde de Hasankeyf'e uğradık. Minik ve oldukça güzel bir yer, etkilendim. Gerçi genel olarak Diyarbakır'dan, Midyat'tan da etkilendim. Buraları hiç bu kadar güzel hayal etmiyordum. :)

Hükümetin yeni baraj projeleriyle bu tarihi bölgeyi tehdit ediyor oluşu inanılmaz gerçekten.

      Askerde ki devrelerim görüntülü arayıp kısa bir gezintiye çıkartmışlardı beni. :) Trabzondaki yaylalardan sonra gidip görüceğim yerler olarak listemde 2.sıradalar bu yerler.

                    Hasankeyfte benim en çok tuhafıma giden şey insanların yaşadığı mağaraların yerden 10-15 metre yüksek olması ve sadece bir girişinin olması insanlar o yüksekliği nasıl çıkıyorlardı. Bir diğer ihtimal de tabi oranın mağara girişine kadar su olması.
                    Ve 12 bin yıllık bir tarihi sular altına alıyoruz malesef...
                    Tarkan'ın verdiği konser bu konu hakkında duyarlı olması işe yaramadığı görünüyor.
