Apple bu yıl iPhone modellerini çeşitlendirmek ve fiyatlar konusundaki olumsuz havayı dağıtmak için yeni bir iPhone modeli üzerinde çalışıyor. Ünlü Apple analisti Ming Chi Kuo’ya göre 6.1 inçlik LCD ekrana sahip olacak bu cihaz, 3 Touch özelliğinden yoksun gelecek. Tasarım açısında iPhone X’un halefi olacak.
Apple, yüksek fiyatlı iPhone 8 ve daha yüksek fiyatlı iPhone X adımından sonra akıllı telefon piyasasının daha alt katmanlarında da rekabet vermek istiyor. Firmanın bu yıl tanıtmasını beklediğimiz 3 yeni iPhone modelinden ikisi iPhone X sınıfını doğrudan genişletecekken, birisi uygun fiyatlı bir seçenek olmak üzere raflara çıkacak.
Bir cihazın ucuz olabilmesi için ucuza üretilmesi gerekiyor. Bu nedenle Apple, söz konusu cihazın ekranında önemli bir değişiklik yaparak OLED teknolojisinden daha ucuz olan LCD’ye geçiş yapıyor. Elbette bu söylediğimiz sadece düşük fiyatlı iPhone için geçerli olacak.
2018 model iPhone cihazları, tasarım açısından iPhone X’a çok benzeyecek. Düşük fiyatlı iPhone, 3 modelin fiziksel açıdan ortancası olarak karşımıza çıkacak:
İddiaların sahibi KGI Securities firmasının ünlü Apple analisti Ming Chi Kuo, LCD ekranlı ortanca iPhone’da önemli bir özelliğin bulunmayacağını söylüyor. Bu özellik, Apple’ın imza teknolojilerinden birisi olan 3D Touch. Bilindiği üzere 3D Touch, erkana fiziksel olarak yerleştirilen hassas bir katman sayesinde kullanılıyordu. Bu da üretim esnasında ekstra maliyet demek.
Ortanca iPhone’nun “Cover Glass Sensor (CGS)” adı verilen bir teknolojiye sahip olacağını söyleyen Kuo, ekranın hafif darbelere karşı daha duyarlı olacağını da belirtiyor. Apple’ın ekleyeceği yeni ekran katmanının tam amacı henüz bilinmiyor. Ancak dokunmatik panel özelinde konuşacak olursak, bu teknolojinin cihazın satış fiyatına 23 ila 26 dolar arasında etki edeceği söyleniyor.
Kuo’ya göre bu fiyat yükselişini önlemek adına Apple, 3D Touch özelliğini ortanca iPhone için kaldıracak. Açıkçası iOS’un 3D Touch özelliği ile çok iyi entegre edilmiş olması, ortanca iPhone’nun işletim sisteminde ufak farklılıklar da göreceğimize dair önemli bir kanıt olabilir.
CGS teknolojisi daha hassas bir LCD ekran paneli elde etmeyi sağlıyor. Böylece son derece pahalı ve riskli olan OLED teknolojisine alternatif üretilmiş oluyor. Apple CGS’i ilerleyen yıllarda çıkartacağı iPhone modelleri için de kullanmak istiyor.
