Geçenlerde, yabancı bir arkadaşla (İngilizce) muhabbet ederken, Türkçe bir deyimi merak ettiğini söyledi. Yıllar önce, 1-2 aylığına İstanbul'da yaşamış ve günlük hayata dait çat-pat birkaç kelime biliyordu. Merhaba, nasılsın, neresi vs gibi temel kelime ve cümleler.
Kırık ve aksanlı haliyle "Renk ve Zevk üzerine münakaşa yapılmaz" anlamını sordu. Ne yalan söyleyeyim, ilk başta biraz afalladım. Cümle bana hiç yabancı gelmiyor ama böyle bir cümle/deyim bu haliyle duymamıştım. Tabii, o birkaç saniyelik ufak şoktan sonra "jeton düştü" :) İster istemez, şaşkınlıktan bir gülme geldi. Nereden öğrendiğini sorunca, bunu yabancılar için Türkçe öğreten bir kitapta gördüğünü ve hala aklında kalan en uzun cümle olduğunu söyledi.
Bu cümlenin günlük hayatta kullanılan şekli, birebir çevirisi ve arkasındaki anlamı dilim döndükçe anlattım.
Renkler ve zevkler tartışılmaz cümlesini belki binlerce kez kullanıp duymuşuzdur ama böylesini ilk defa duydum ve şaşırdım. Güzel edebi bir cümle olmuş.
Hayatta, bazen kiminle ve nerede neyi yaşayacağımız veya öğreneceğimiz belli olmuyor :)
