İlk olarak yapraklar salamura ise akşamdan ıslayıp fazla tuzunu alıyoruz. Daha sonra içi için tencereye zeytinyağını koyup kuru soğanları kavuruyoruz. Daha sonra sırası ile salça, pirinç, yeşil soğan, maydanoz, nane, tuz ve pul biberi ekleyip kavuruyoruz. İçi biraz soğuyunca sarmaya başlıyoruz. Tencereye dizdiğimiz sarmaların pişirmeden önce üzerine biraz zeytinyağı gezdirip ve yarım limon dilimliyoruz. Düdüklü tencerede 2 su bardağı su ile yaklaşık 10 dakika pişiriyoruz.
