YouTube, ücretli video servisi YouTube Red ile Google Play Müzik hizmetini birleştiriyor. Apple Music ve Spotify benzeri olacak servis, Mart 2018’de kullanıma sunulacak.
Dijital müzik platformlarının cazibesine YouTube da katılıyor. Son yıllarda ciddi gelişme gösteren YouTube, Remix adını vereceği servis ile Apple Music ve Spotify’a rakip olmak istiyor. Remix, hem ses hem de müzik kliplerini tek bir platformda birleştirecek. Google Play Music’in standart bir oynatıcı kimliğinden çıkacağını da söyleyebiliriz.
Merak edilen konulardan birisi de telif hakları konusuydu. Yayıncı şirketlerin, YouTube vasıtasıyla müzik kliplerini ücretsiz yayınlaması, telif hakları konusunda tartışmalar yaratıyordu. Pek kazanç sağlayamayan yayıncılar, Apple Music ve Spotify gibi servislere geçmeye başlamışlardı. Bu sorunları aşan YouTube, büyük müzik yayıncılarından Sony Music, Universal ve Warner Music ile anlaştı. Bunun yanı sıra, müzik içeriklerinin büyük bir kısmına sahip olan Vevo ile de anlaşması an meselesi.
Hiç şüphesiz Remix’in karşısında iki dev rakip bulunuyor: Apple Music ve Spotify. Apple Music’in aylık kullanıcı kitlesi 30 milyona yakın. Spotify’ın ise 140 milyon civarı. Bunlardan 50 milyonunun da Premium üye olduğunu da söylememiz gerekir. Geçtiğimiz yıl açıklanan rakamlara göre, YouTube Red’in kullanıcı sayısı ise 1,5 milyon. Remix bu dev rakiplere kafa tutabilecek mi göreceğiz.
Remix şu an sadece 5 ülkede aktif durumda. Mart ayında kullanıma sunulacak Remix, ücretli bir servis olacak. Bakalım YouTube devasa gücünü Remix üzerinde de kullanabilecek mi?
