İzmirde en güzel sabahlar boyozla başlar. Boyoz 1492 de Türkiye ye yerleşen Sefaratlar tarafından Anadolu ve özellikle İzmir mutfağına katılmış mayasız bir hamurişidir.
Ben ilk İzmire geldiğimde dışarıda yumurta satılmasına şaşırmıştım. Boyoz yumurtayla satılıyormuş. Herkes onu öyle yiyor ve seviyor.
