Ethereum price has continued to decline over the past 24 hours against bitcoin. Ethereum price has dropped 4.83% in the past day and lost almost $1 billion in market capitalization.
Ethereum Price Continues Downtrend As SegWit Hopes Fade
Last week was one of the toughest for Ethereum, as the coin suffered from volatility in both price and volume. On Tuesday, ETH/USD hit a low of $218, but on Wednesday it rallied back above $230. However, this was not enough for ETH/BTC to also rise above 0.03 BTC. On Thursday, ETH/USD fell below $220 again and briefly traded near $210 before recovering slightly. At press time, ETH is trading at around $213 after a 3% drop in the past 24 hours.
