I believe using my profits from Steemit is a great way to trade, its essentially risk free, although you may lose your profits. In my case I'm using my Steem to promote my posts not my SBD so I will technically lose out if I don't make back the money from trading.

But it might be worth the risk because SBD is very stagnant at the moment and although meant to be kept at least at a dollar I dont see much potential in a sideways market which we are experiencing.

Every time I take SBD out i'm going to make a post about it and what coins I've brought with it and show the progress of my other coins.

This Week:

BAT (Basic Attention Coin): Its been doing very well the last couple of days and seems to be strong in the market at the moment also the charts look quite promising.

6 Months

The volume is the crazy thing, youd expect it to be a lot lower when the market is at it is, the amount of volume could be showing the interest people have in the product.

Its a good product:

The BAT is the tokens on which the Brave browser works, the browser itself is brilliant, best I have used. I did a small review on it previously: Click here

The idea of being able to pay your favorite sites, Youtubers etc instead of ads is a nice thought and definitely has potential.

The long term plan:

The plan is to diversify my portfolio more because currently all my investments are in Steem, I would also like to use Steemit as a sort of safety net because I could take profits turn it into Steem and power it up, those profits will generate me more SBD that I can then invest again. It will hopefully allow me to not have to hold coins that I don't know too much about and take quick profits without the worry bitcoin will tank. Although Steem may tank I'm holding it long term so it won't effect me much.
