Trading NOT selling STEEM | Finding my trading style

in trading •  6 years ago

I want to open a discussion, what about those who knows / have a method to determine TPs discuss them here?

I personally use previous HH or Fibs.

I don't follow any signals group just what we discuss in here Momentum Traders , I try to enter @aqfaridi s calls if I have BTC available and adapt the TP according to market situation I try to avoid greed (80%/90% of the TP) and be conservative as i dont like to stay trapped in a trade for longer than needed.

And if I see the opportunity to re-enter on a retracement I do to chase TP2.

On good market days I will sell 80% at TP1 (if TP1 was higher than 20% profit) and leave the remaining 20% chasing TP2 this way i secure the capital and i am only risking the profit.

My Stop losses are usually a below last known strong support to avoid SL snipers. (Some snipers go way below that and well those cannot be avoided)

I watch whale pressure on the order book to assess accumulation and try to enter early on my own calls.

I also prefer the low value coins as they are more easily manipulated by whales.

I sleep better now I leave TP and SL

Good news... STEEM reached 9100 satoshis...

The sad ones is that I only have about 499 in Binance + what i am using to pay for the bidbot so my posts don't die into oblivion.

I might become a drug dealer, I think it takes less of my time than writing these posts.

"Plan the trade and trade the plan".

What do you think?

Over the long term I need to be Bullish on STEEM hopefully I will be able to put more SP on my account once i finish this operation.

If you like my journal of trying to make a shitload of steem please comment

I agree on using the TP and SL, but for low value coins, it depends. Some coin may get a huge spike ... to the ground

That is precisely why you use Stop Loss... I was holding a shitload of Wings and I went to sleep leaving it well after halfway to my TP all green all nice...

I woke up and saw that Binance announced it would be de-listed, checked the charts, it had dropped 25% in minutes.

Since it had build a weak support slightly above my entry price i had moved the SL there before going to sleep and actually made a small profit when the stop loss kicked in.

Exactly that's how it works!
