One would say I'm still relatively new to steemit, that said I would like to ask for trade markets that actually incorporate SBD and allow for the purchasing of altcoins using a credit/debit card. Basically I want to buy and hold steem, but fail to locate secure platforms to do so.

Have you tried going through BlockTrades? Buy some ETH on another exchange, then do this:
