How's that for clickbait ? Prepare to be disappointed..

I don't normally bother sharing this kind of stuff, I was just browsing around looking for setups for tomorrow and noticed USD/CAD on the hourly.

Is this a dream chart for swing traders or what ? It looks like a money printing machine, I wish I was more into swing trading :-(

That's it, probably of no interest to anyone who isn't a swing trader though lol.

About me -
I'm a full time financial trader, mostly in Forex and Commodities. I write for fun and try to help beginner traders get started, avoiding all the mistakes that I made. I'm always happy to chat or discuss ideas so please just give me a shout in the comments !
I'm currently trying to build up SP but everything I earn from Steemit is donated to a Steemit charity or worthy user.

Cool chart. Never did like swing trading. The quick trades for small rewards was never lucrative enough for me. Worst off the price swings widen on volatile days where it was when I have trades. I should quit trading before I lose my shirt again :/

Just buy cheaper shirts, so you don't lose as much :-)

If you need any help you know you only need to ask. And even if I can't help, I can probably suggest where to get it.

I feel you can help me. I really hope I can make sure my family is provided if for some reason something happens to me. Thanks.

I'll try my best, chat in Discord, don't discuss money on here :-)

Funny thing is once you mark the range that thing will go the other way as soon as you make a trade :P

Sad but true :-( Once you see it, it's already too late lol

Probably too small to see on that chart, but some sell orders around 12900 would have been very lucrative.

Yep. its set up that way so we always loose. gotta think outside the box to make money trading. trading is hard. Most people don't realize this.

I must admit I've tried swing trading in the past, and not very good at it. I'm getting better though, more selective, more patience for better setups.

The psychology is the hardest, lots of small losses between huge winners.

yes. lots of stop losses. long term trading seems to be the best bet for the mayority.

Check this out, you were exactly right :-)

Look at the chart, isn't that a textbook example of a 'last kiss' ? Price broke out the channel, rebounded for a couple bars before taking off. Classic !

WOW nice !!!!! lol. very nice breakout just when u were supposed to short :)

I'm a contrarian, As soon as the price rebounded off the top of the channel I had a sell order just under that red dot for a false breakout. The price just kept going up so it never got filled. C'est la vie ! :-)

Wow!

I got excited there for a second!!!

hmm, "easily sucked in by clickbait titles", useful to know... lolol :-)

Hook, line and sinker on this one.

A trader woman from Kekistan. Not bad!

I'm proud to be a dedicated shitposter on the internets ;-)

This is me, relaxing between trades.

That's not my understanding of a swing trader. My understanding is that a swing trade are trades than can last days to months rather than going in and out of trades within a single day, which is called day trading. I don't know what kind of trading you do but maybe you are just trying to be funny.

Maybe it's just a cultural difference then. Swing traders take advantage of (relatively) short term momentum swings and tend to trade in ranges, as opposed to trend traders. I wouldn't get too hung up on the labels or timescales, everyone trades at their own pace.

I opened and closed a couple of trades the same day on Friday, but I have some still open that will probably be open for another week, and a few of them are trading in a range and the others are following a trend with a price target. So what kind of trader am I ? Seems a bit arbitrary :-)

Showed this to my girlfriend and told her this is the most beautiful chart I've seen in my life. I have been given looks. You can probably tell, she is not really into trading, investing, etc.

some people just don't appreciate the finer things in life :-)

Scalpers are loving this chart.

Yeah, I really shouldn't have called it a 'swing trade', some people got offended by the timescale because it 'wasn't long enough to be swing trading'.

Meh, what's in a name... life is too short :-)
