Ok so, there are a lot of different kinds of trading bots out there.
I have tried a few and this is my opinion.
All trading bots have there pros and cons.
But does the pros out weigh the cons??
That's what we are going to talk about.
So I've used Both Profit Trailer & Haasbot
Both bots will take some time to learn, I do not suggest anyone use a bot, if you do not already know how to trade manually.
With that being said, there are very distinct differences.
Both have great communities who are for the most part willing to help you get the bot set up.
Also there are special services. We wont go in to all that.
Lets talk (Profit Trailer)
PT has gone through quite a large upgrade in the last few months making it possible to use additional indicators. I have not yet upgraded to the new system, as once the market has gone down with the bear market, It became very difficult to remain profitable. Thus I stopped botting all together. But as of late I have been getting more active to using my Haasbot.
Lets talk (Haasonline Bot)
Haas is always working on upgrading the software, with regular releases, bringing new custom bots, and strategies or indicators. This bot has a LOT of functions, You can manually trade create your own strategies, use one of the existing custom bots, Backtest your bots, or if you like using Trading View you can use the Alerts from Trading View to trigger your buys and sales. This Bot really has more options then you may need, but all the saucy sweetness you want.
Profit Trailer
Pros
-Is great for scanning the whole market.
-Great at managing trades,
-Initiative in development(I.E. releasing updates)
-Large diverse community
-Bolt on's (I.E. Feeder, Magic, Tracker, Ect..)
Cons
-Difficult to setup
-Limited Indicators
-No Backtesting
Haasbot
Pros
-Customer Bots
-A lot of different Indicators
-Large diverse community
-Initiative in development(I.E. releasing updates)
-Run a bunch of different bots with different strategies at one time.
-Backtesting
-Extremely Flexible (Create your own trading strategies)
-Custom Scripts, with API access
Cons
-Overwhelming for new traders
-Expensive
So In the end the choice is yours, but I for one have found the Backtesting and the custom bots and flexibility that Haasbot has makes it the winner. It takes time to learn it, but once you figure it out, The system is great. With the ability to do simulated trading after you have created your own strategies. Makes it a clear winner.
If you are interested in getting your hands on one of these bots the links are below and help support me by giving me and up vote and re-steem. Thanks much appreciated.
Also I do run all my bots on a VPS to remove the need to have to leave my PC running.
The VPS I use is about $7 a month. Link down below.
All I need is a bot that will buy and sell at a certain price repeatedly. I don't want the bot making it's own decisions. Do you have any suggestions?

You can do this with both bots.
Using Haasbots - trading bot you set the buy and sell points with stop loss, You can even use trend lines on a chart to trigger your buy and sell points. This way you can look at the chart, Set you buy and sell points and set a stop loss point, and walk away knowing your bot will trade the trade strategies you set up.

Can you run them offline, or do you always need your computer on?

I use a VPS, this way It can stay running on the Server and I can access it from anywhere as long as I have internet access.
You can get a VPS that can run it for about $5 a month.
This is the VPS I use.
