The Devils of Yare: Tradition and color

The Dancing Devils of Corpus Christi, traditionally known as the Devils of Yare, represent a colorful spectacle and religious tradition, which on December 6, 2012 received the distinction of part of the UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The religious festivity enlivened by the Devils of Yare, is celebrated in San Francisco de Yare, in the Miranda State, every Thursday of Corpus Christi, that is, 9 Thursday after the Thursday of Holy Week, or Holy Thursday.
