People who are known as Peddlers go around the city, or town and even to the villages in the countryside selling brooms, baskets, fans and other small things which are usually handmade products. This kind of business started along time ago. I remember my late grandmother told me stories about her father who was also a peddler, he spent days traveling from town to town on his wagon powered by a lone cow pulling on its back a carriage that carried rice, sugar, coffee and other basic commodities.

In this modern days of technology, these peddlers still exist along the street on motorbikes, hand carts but the one powered by a bull is rare already. A peddler is a great help for those people who have no time going to supermarkets and other stores, they can save time buying from the peddlers plus there's a big chance that you could free to bargain or ask for discounts.

I admire the perseverance and the hard work of the peddlers which according to them sometimes their sales is not that pleasant and satisfactory, they always meet customers asking very high discounts like they get the item at almost free, plus the environment the bear with and the exhausting heat which reduce the bull and the peddlers physical body, the dust, smoke from vehicles and the danger or accidents that may happen while they are along the street.

Pardon the photography, it was taken years ago using an old phone. I just wanted to share this form of living in the Philippines. It has been a long time since I have seen one of this.
