a few days ago I saw a television show about fruits dyeed and sweetened using used syringes.

the short story is low quality fruits. like sour taste, the color is not attractive if sold will be very harmful to traders. then the unscrupulous trader-not all the merchants-do some tricks that can kill their customers slowly but surely:

  1. mango
injected textile dye and cyclamate. so sweet and attractive colors
  2. watermelon
treated like a mango for the same reason
  3. jackfruit
dyed in a textile dye to draw
  4. red aple
given a layer of wax to shine

as for how to recognize these harmful fruits
Mango if there are perforated surfaces and squeezed fluid. the appearance of the fruit withered, not fresh and mushy
According to my neighbors mothers if watermelon injections have streaks on the flesh [the way liquids from injected chemical fluids ruin the flesh bulbs
Jackfruit colored with textile dye, the color is more striking
Skinny scrap of apple skin using nails, if found wax crust, should not be purchased
For preservatives such as formalin can only be examined in the laboratory alone, there is no physical trait.
most of the fruit given these chemicals are imported fruits that are long in the streets so that the quality decreases when it comes to the hands of consumers.
in the event it is advisable to prefer local fruit because it does not take long to get to the hands of consumers. so it is more fresh and free of chemicals. on the other hand we have helped local farmers to increase their income.

Looking at the condition of fruits/vegetables we get in the market these days, I was thinking, our future generations won't even be able to know how a real apple or a real mango looks like. Because whatever would be available would be injected. The color, the taste, everything would be artificial. Some major issues to be blamed are overpopulation, environmental degradation, greed, and of course, the dearth of agricultural land, plight of farmers.

While I was thinking all this, it struck me, why not save some pictures of "real" edibles (pictures showing both from inside and outside), like a digital library for them, so that at least they know how the real thing looks like and can compare it while buying them in the future. It will act as a standard chart that guides them while shopping. It's unfortunate we can't impart them the real taste though, but we can at least help them with the appearance.

Now, most would argue that why disappoint them by showing what they can't have. Well, the idea is not disappointing them, rather making them aware that this is what they should be getting in reality, which they aren't because there are factors that need to be addressed. If they don't know there is a problem, how will they even attempt to solve it?

And, hopefully, with some efforts, they will be able to enjoy and relish what their ancestors took for granted!

I know some of them but thanks for providing complete information :)
