traffic congestion has decreased gradually due to the introduction of alternative roads through the adjacent BSCIC industrial area of Fatehpur rail crossings at Feni in Dhaka-Chittagong highway. On Saturday, 10:00 pm, the Chittagong-bound vehicles started crossing the Bichik industrial zone of Feni and traveling by the Mahipal flyover. That is why the 85 kilometer jute has come down to 60 kilometers. If there is no rain, the situation will improve further in the night, officials said.
Due to the introduction of alternative roads in Feni, the car is slowly moving towards the destination. Today, at around noon, 15 kilometers north of Feni, Padua of Comilla and 45 kilometers south of Chittagong, there was a large jurisdiction of Chittagong to Daroghat. But now the wheel of the car is moving. An officer who is responsible for the traffic police will reduce 80 percent of the traffic in the night, according to an official responsible for the traffic police.
Roads and Highways Department sources said that the work of crossing Chittagong-Dhaka vehicles from Fatehpur Rail Crossing to Dhaka bypassing the Mahipal flyover began on Wednesday night. In the morning, when a car was stuck on the alternative road of BSCIC industrial area, then the movement of the Chittagong-bound traffic was stopped for about an hour. After moving the car, the car is going back to Chittagong again.
Construction of flyovers at Fatehpur rail crossing in Feni is going on to ease the traffic congestion on Dhaka-Chittagong highway. Due to the construction of the highway in Feni rail crossing area, the traffic in Chittagong is closed. In the same way, the capital of Dhaka is kept closed. The four-lane highway was made about one-half kilometer lanes in the area under the flyover. As a result, the highway has become stagnant in the traffic jam.
Feni district police inspector (traffic) Mir Golam Faruque told the first light that the emergency carriage of goods is being sent to Chittagong through Laxam and Noakhali's Choumuhani, Comilla, to reach Chittagong port with the Mahipal of Feni. At the same time, many more vehicles were allowed to cross Chittagong through the Mahipal flyover from BSCIC industrial zone in Feni's rail crossing at 10pm yesterday. Due to the use of two alternate roads, the jute of Chittagong-bound jute has come down to 15 kilometers north of Feni, which lasted 30-35 kilometers yesterday.
Golam Faruk further said that due to no alternative road to cross the Dhaka-bound car, this jhana stretched 50km south of Feni. On the street of a lane near Feni rail crossings, the bus started passing from the night on the Dhaka-bound car. Due to this, the jhat has come down to Doroghat of Sitakunda, which was extended till Barakunda this morning. If the rain does not get reduced by 80 percent in the night.
