Full Heavy Bag Boxing Workout

in training •  7 years ago

My full heavy bag boxing workout with commentary to explain what I’m doing, and why.

The focus is on getting fit using the Jab, Cross, Hook, and Uppercut. I’m using an Aqua Heavy Bag, but you can do this on any bag from standing heavy bags to wall bags. I just find it much easier to train uppercuts on this bag due to the angles it offers. Use whatever you have access to and I'm sure you will have a great workout.

I’ve split the session into early, middle, and late rounds. This breaks the workout into sections and leaves the format open so it’s suitable from beginner through to elite. The fitter you are, the more quality rounds you should be doing. I typically get beginners to work with 60 second rounds, when they can make it through without stopping I extend it to 90 seconds, 2 minutes, 3 minutes etc.

My aim is to be consistent with my heavy bag training and I’m going to keep sharing it to keep me accountable. Let me know in the replies if you enjoy this type of martial arts training video, or any ideas you have that would make it better.
