From 20-23 years old, I was not exercising nor eating properly.
At age 24, I got so fat due to dirty bulking (aka just eating a lot), I decided to commit myself to compete for fitness show.
When I traveled for 1.5 months in SE Asia and Europe, I pretty much lost all the muscles and became a skinny boney guy. That was at the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015.
Since then, I started it all over and trained 3-4 times a week for a few months.
But then from middle of 2015 till middle of 2016, I was not exercising nor eating properly and also I had eczema/atopy conditions getting worse so I was not making progress.
Only until after 2017, I started eating properly and training 3-4 times a week incorporating eccentric contraction, higher volume sets, and slow carb + carb backloading to maximize hypertrophy.
From near the end of 2017 around September, I got pretty serious about lean bulking so I worked out 4-5 times a week with slow carb + carb backloading + eccentric + progressive overloading.
Since Jan 2018, I've been working out 5-6 times a week and doing Ketogenic diet + high volume hypertrophy + intermittent fasting + progressive overloading to enable clean bulking and body recomposition.
My 8 years transformation isn't as spectacular as other guys, but I had many things got in my way like working on my career, interning at Microsoft, traveling for 1.5 months, living in Europe for 6 months, starting a new job, getting sick for 3-4 months, traveling to Japan and Europe for 3 weeks, and more.
So this is still a humbling experience to look back on and realize how far I've come so far, because everybody starts from where they are, right?
So thanks for watching. I'm even more motivated to grow and improve my fitness, health, aesthetic, and my life overall.
