Public transport

Public transport in British cities is efficient and can be enjoyed. Its cost is reasonable, especially when compared to the cost of parking. Most large cities have good bus services. London, Newcastle and Glasgow also have an underground system, while Edinburgh, Manchester and Nottingham have tram lines. Taxis are available at every train station and at the stops in the city centres. The best way to see many cities is to walk around, but whichever mode of transport you choose, try to avoid the rush hours from 8am to 9:30am and from 5pm to 6:30pm.
