Nepal "The country of Himalayas"

Nepal, also known as the himalayan Kingdom due to it’s dominance in the Himalayas in world. Nepal is known for Mt. Everest (highest point on earth), as birth place of Lord buddha and many other cultural, historical and natural factors that is enough to amaze anyone travelling here. I will like to share some info on Nepal:

Nepal is a small landlocked country, an underdeveloped country between the two biggest countries in the world. With China in it’s north and India on it’s south.
Despite the ups and downs and instability, tourism has always been good enough in Nepal, also being the backbone of the country’s economy, many lives depend in this field so, it must be good in any case for Nepal. Nepal is a perfect place or even can be said a heaven for the trekkers and mountaineers. With 8 of the worlds highest peaks and from east to west bordered by the Himalayas, Nepal is the perfect Himalayan Kingdom and great travel destination. Nepal has the world’s highest point Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest 8848m) and many other 8000meter peaks.
Following are the 8 of the 10 highest peak of the world that is situatedin Nepal.

1.Mount Everest(Sagarmatha)
Mount Everest, the highest mountain the world, stands at an altitude of 8848 meters or 29m029 feet above sea level. In Nepal it is known as Sagarmatha (सगरमाथा) and in Tibet it is known as Chomolungma. In Nepal, the mountain is located in Solukhumbu District of the Sagarmatha zone.

2.Kanchanjanga
This is the third highest mountain in the world and its highest point stands at 8,586 meters or 28,169 feet. In Nepal, the same name is adopted and in Devanagari it is written as कञ्चनजङ्घा (Kanchanjunga). It lies in the Kangchenjunga range and is located between the Nepal—India border. It lies in the eastern border of Nepal and shares the location with Sikkim.

  1. Lhotse
    This Mountain happens to be the fourth highest mountain in the world. Its altitude reaches as high as 8,516 meters or 27,940 ft. In Devanagari or Nepali, one would write it as: ल्होत्से. It lies in the Mahalangur Himal range and the range happens to be the same as that of Mt. Everest.

  1. Makalu
    Mt. Makalu is the fifth highest mountain in the world. In Nepali it is written as मकालु and the Chinese name for it is also quite similar—Makaru. This mountain’s pinnacle stands at 8,463 meters or 27,766 feet above sea level. It is one of the highest eight-thousander located on this planetmakalu.jpg

  2. Cho Oyo
    Another eight-thousander in the Mahalangur Himalaya range, Cho Oyo or चोयु has an altitude of 8,201 meters or 26,906 feet above sea level. The name Cho Oyo is actually a Tibetan name which is also adapted in Nepal.

  3. Dhaulagiri I
    The mountain lies in the Dhaulagiri Himalayan range and the highest peak in the several ones in this range is Mt. Dhaulagiri I. The peak is located at 8,167 meters above sea level or 26,795 feet. Unlike other mountains that are located in the border, this one is situated wholly inside Nepal. Hence, this one has got only a Nepali name: धौलागिरी. This mountain can be spotted from several of the popular trekking routes and destinations of Nepal.dhaulagiri-i.jpg

  4. Manaslu
    The highest altitude that this mountain extends to is 8,163 meters or 26,781 feet. This mountain or himal lies in Lamjung District, Gandaki Zone of Nepal and in the Mansiri range. The regions around Mt. Manaslu are famous for trekking and a lot of travelers go to this region.

  5. Annapurna I
    The popular peak Annapurna is the tenth highest and the last on in this list of the top 8 of 10 highest mountains located in Nepal. In Nepali it is written as: अन्नपुर्ण. Standing at an altitude of 8,091 meters or 26,545 feet, this mountain attract a lot if not most of the trekkers that visit Nepal.

Nepal has many beautiful places, mountains, villages and national parks for trekking with rewarding views of the Green valleys, Rivers and snow capped mountains. Nepal even has dry areas that are similar to Tibet with same Tibetan people and even more preserved Tibetan culture than in Tibet itself. Nepal is a small wonder, small country with the highest diversity possible from the 60m to 8848 meter highest point on earth. And Nepal has the highest diversity in the shortest distance in the whole world. Nepal is the famous destination for trekkers from all around the world, the high mountains have some the best trekking routes in the world…
