Post#2: Hike to a hidden beach!Praia da Ursa, portugal

in travel •  7 years ago

Today, I have decided to take you to one of the most beautiful but an obscure beach of Portugal which is about 2 hours away from the capital city of Lisbon.

Praia da Ursa can be considered as a valuable natural treasure located near "Cabo da Roca" in Sintra district. It is a rocky beach surrounded by high cliffs offering an unprecedented scenery to the tourists.2.jpg

As every special thing has its price, so is this beach too. There is no possible way to reach there by any transport means except by your own feet. After getting down at "Cabo da Roca" there is a challenging hike of approx. 30 minutes, through the twisting mountains, a steep downhill with some breathtaking and spectacular views that will take you to the golden sand of this beach.

Alert! Alert! it's a nudist beach.
If you prefer a less crowded beach with Serenity prevailing all around, this is the beach for you but remember, there are no cafes or changing rooms so bring all the stuff, food with you.DSC_0127.jpg

one thing that was a bit turn off for me was it's cold water and big waves. The southern beaches of Portugal like in Algarve are perfect for swimming but this was extremely cold. In my next blogs, i will also take you to cave beaches of Algarve which have no match in the whole europe.

This was probably the top spot on that beach. I love the way two high cliffs are standing tall allowing a narrow water passage on this golden sand.
So guys, this was all for today. I hope you will like it and support me for the further blogs. Till then, c ya.
