Dover Breakwater lighthouses

Photos taken with Olympus 35RD on AgfaPhoto Vista Plus 200

My favourite lighthouses are probably on the coasts of Spain. Having said that, the UK has some of the worlds most exquisite lighthouses in the world. Worldwide Lighthouses has all the information you may need if you're interested.

These are the Dover Breakwater lighthouses. People seem to be fond of fishing around them. I've never truly understood recreational fishing to be honest. I mean, yes fishing in a remote lake somewhere peaceful and serene - I get that; the calm, the peace. Fishing on a busy pier though?

I'm currently packing to head to a land where I'm expecting to see many lighthouses since it's an island. For the first time in a while, I'm going on holiday without a film camera. I'm even considering just taking my iPhone and leaving my mirrorless camera at home. I've never been to this place before so I will be taking a lot of photos.

However I think back to last year when I was in Banff, Canada, with just my iPhone. My main camera broke on the journey there. I was still able to come back with great photos and videos. I think perhaps the limitation of just having the phone forced me to up my game a little.

I once did a land survey for the Augusta Historical Society in WA, and whilst there, was given a pvt tour of a local, historical lighthouse. I'll dig around in some of my HHDs to see if I have any photos.
Peace.

Oh cool. They's so full of stories. So many here in the UK as you can imagine. All with amazing stories.

Oh I love lighthouses! Can’t wait to see your pictures.

These new phones are making cameras obsolete day by day. They just need the view finder. Nice shots

Thank you. Yes, I'm surprised 3rd party companies aren't making viewfinder cases for smartphones already.

I have an iphone, it takes amazing pictures, it really does. I say do whatever seems to feel right for you. I think in this day and age it is certainly possible to take amazing pictures with a photo alone.
Looking forward to your lighthouse photography!
