The main designer of the project is the German company "GMP" and the arena designer is the Swiss company Nüssli International AG. The construction of three stadiums - arena, facade and ceiling - was initiated at the same time.
The building was rescued on April 16, 2012. The official opening ceremony of the complex was held on May 7, and the arena hosted the semi-finals and final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 on May 22-26. The façade of Crystal Hall is equipped with numerous modern LED lamps that allow you to create different effects. During the Eurovision Song Contest 2012, the lighting of these led lamps reflected the colors of the flag of the participant country at the stage.
