They say it's a good idea to leave an itinerary with others when you're going off grid for a while..

Starting Thursday will be launching a canoe into the waters at Pete's Place Access Point, Massasauga Provincial Park. We will be canoeing to campsite 221 for the night then moving on to site 208 for the weekend..!

My first real backcountry camping trip so I don't really know what to expect, just pumped to be back in another Provincial Park. Massassauga Park is home to some pretty cool creatures like the Massassauga Rattlesnake!

The Massasauga Provincial Park is a provincial park in Parry Sound District, Ontario, Canada, stretching from the town of Parry Sound south to the Moon River. The park has an area of 131.05 km2 (50.60 sq mi).

The park encompasses hundreds of islands on the coast of Georgian Bay and many inland lakes including Clear Lake and Spider Lake. Classified as a "Natural Environment" park, it contains no roads, so camping is limited to interior sites. The sites on the bay can be reached by motor boat whereas those on the lakes are typically reached by non-motorized craft such as canoes or kayaks. -wiki

All right back to packing, which requires a lot of care and prep work wow. Food, water, shelter, this is getting real!

Ciao for now
