Wish I was somewhere else

Have you ever wished to be somewhere other than where you currently are? I have. I think we have all done so at some stage in life. I don't think there's anything wrong with it generally. I mean it could be a problem if a person placed their life on hold due to not liking where they happen to be at that point as that may result in depression and a loss of the correct attitude. But in general wanting to be somewhere else seems quite ok.

I'm pretty happy with my life. I have a lovely partner, we enjoy each other's company, a comfortable home, some material possessions that we enjoy, hobbies, decent jobs that we are good at and mostly enjoy plus good prospect for the future. Overall it's a pretty decent little package. But we still wish to be somewhere else mostly. Where though?

We love to travel and so the place we wish to be, other than where we are today at this moment, is anywhere on vacation, pretty much anywhere. Exploring new places and reconnecting with old favourites is one of our most enjoyable things in life and we focus our lives around it.

Of course, when we travel we are there, not here, so we are still wherever we are at the time, because we are there. Make sense? I guess what I really mean about being somewhere else is that we enjoy being away from home and travelling and find a lot of enjoyment in it.

We have an overseas trip coming up soon and another shorter one right after that then are heading for a longer trip in 2020 which should be exciting. That's what we tend to do mostly...Keep organising trips so we always have something to look forward to. Of course we need to stay home and work too...It's at those times when we wish we were somewhere else!
